After living in the United States for the last fifteen months, and with only six months left, I thought it would be a good idea to blog about my experiences. I’ve tried journals and diaries before and never stuck to them so fingers crossed this one works out.

When I think back to 2007-the last time I was here, I’m frustrated because not only did I lose most of my pictures, but I never wrote a single word down about my experiences. I wrote a few novel-sized emails home, but I wish I had at least written a little for myself. My memory isn’t the greatest, and theres nothing like reading an old journal entry and being taken back to how I felt at the time.

I also want to give advice to people who are considering traveling, or working as an Au Pair in America. If one of my posts helps someone to make an informed decision, then it’s worth it.

I want to remember these experiences forever, as well as sharing what I’ve learned- my mistakes, triumphs and everyday thoughts.

So here goes…wish me luck!
